About Monroe Soccer Club

Monroe Soccer Club (MSC) is a non-profit organization run by volunteers in the community with a professional paid coaching staff.  We strive to be one of the top soccer programs in the CJSA South West District and CCSL Premier League. We offer boys and girls travel and premier soccer programs. For the 2019/2020 seasons, we are offering premier for U12 girls and U14 boys.  Our coaches are experienced, highly trained educators who continually seek innovative ways to make the world of soccer accessible to the youth in our town. 

Our Premier teams are made up of players from Monroe as well as players from neighboring towns that are looking for a higher level of soccer than travel.  Our certified professional coaching staff includes premier and regional level coaches and former pro and collegiate players. We focus on player development in a competitive setting while preparing the players to compete in at a top-level premier environment.

Our coaches are demanding but train in a positive way. At the premier level, more emphasis is geared towards being competitive, but the coaches keep it fun. They encourage players to be creative on the field individually and as a team but begin to hold them accountable for their actions. Our coaches are preparing players for the critical thinking and physical aspects of the game that playing at higher levels require.

 

Premier Program Overview

 

Fall and Spring

  • League competition in the CCSL Premier League consisting of 8 games typically played on Saturday/Sunday
  • Fall season runs end of August to mid-November
  • Spring season runs April to mid-June
  • 3 Practices per week for 90 minutes
  • 2 Premier tournaments – 1 in Fall and 1 in Spring

 

Preseason and Winter

  • Preseason training – every day for 1 week for 2 hours at the end of August
  • Winter training – indoor at a local facility for 12-15 sessions 1 time per week, 1 hour each - December - March

 

Program Cost

  • $1600 total for preseason, Fall, Winter and Spring
  • Includes:
    • Entry fees for all leagues and tournaments
    • Referee fees
    • Coaching salary
    • League Insurance
    • Field and maintenance costs
    • Other MSC administrative costs (field lights, facilities, new training equipment, etc)
  • Additional costs include
    • Uniforms – home and away kit, practice jersey and a bag – approximately $150
    • Optional additional tournaments
