Welcome to the Monroe Soccer Club

Our Mission
At the Monroe Soccer Club we strive to be one of the top travel programs in the South West District and the State. We offer boys and girls soccer programs starting at U-9 up to U18.  Our coaching staff are experienced, highly trained educators who continually seek innovative ways to make the world of soccer accessible to the youth in our town.  Our certified professional staff includes current high school and college coaches, former pro and collegiate players and former local high school player standouts. We focus on player development in a competitive setting while preparing players to understand the importance of being part of a team and to develop a true passion for the game.

The MSC Experience
The focus of MSC is on player development, not necessarily just winning.  At younger ages, players require a focus on their individual development and team skills.  Placing too much of an emphasis on winning can negatively affect a player’s growth.  As a result, playing time from U9 and up will differ, as the level of soccer increases.  Each MSC Coach is responsible, prior to season starting, to give insight into their own philosophies and outlook for the season as well as setting goals and expectations for the team.  After each season (fall, winter, spring), a player is given a full evaluation of the past season.  Evaluations cover all tactical and technical aspects of the game the player will need to work on in the off season.  Player development, from U9 until the day they leave travel soccer, is the main focus of MSC.       

Travel Soccer
MSC travel is an introduction to competing with teams from different towns within their respective district. Travel soccer is a higher level than recreation soccer, AYSO as it is known in Monroe. At MSC's tryouts there are cuts and some players are put on a waiting list.  Travel soccer is competitive and it is important for players be placed appropriately to provide a positive experience.  For those players looking to advance to higher levels of play, MSC provides a stepping stone to those higher levels of soccer.  Our coaches work with each player to achieve their maximum potential.

Training
At MSC we offer several different training options:  Speed and Agility, Technical Training, Goal Keeper Training, 1v1 Training, Preseason Camps and Summer Camps. Monroe Soccer also offers a Premier Level option to players looking to take their game to the next level.  We continue to give each player the preparation and knowledge to becoming top soccer players.
